Trendsetting: Corten steel – weathering patina for individual designs

Façades made of corten steel are something very special. Corten is a weathering steel which gets its natural rust-like patina by a protective layer on its surface under the influence of the weather. Corten steel is therefore especially suitable for constructions which require an innovative and characteristic design – if in arts or architecture.

„An architectural milestone: The new SQUAIRE in Frankfurt/m.
Situated directly above the airport’s ICE high-speed railway station, this extraordinary and innovative architectural project will be opened in 2011. At 660 metres in length and up to 65 metres in width it will provide the city of Frankfurt a new dimension of attractive and highly efficient office and trade space at Europe’s most important transport hub.
After having successfully participated in the project of the ICE high-speed railway station, the AMS is very pleased to be a contracting party again for the new SQUAIRE (formerly AIRRAIL CENTER) in the field of metallic facade technology.
- Pipe outlet
The pipe outlets supplement our air pipe systems. They are available as two-row or three-row air intake and exhaust slot diffusers. The pipe outlets are especially suitable for the air supply of high rooms.
The slot diffusers are equipped with pivoted rolls. So they can be adjusted in any angle between 0° and 90° provided the roller elements are alternately centred to both sides.
As the pipe outlets offer so many adjusting facilities they are either an important functional or an interesting design element especially for exposed installations. In addition the direction of the exhaust air can be perfectly adapted to the prevailing premises.
